Energy Is Currency: A Conversation with Bianca Robinson

Welcome to "Energy is Currency," a space where we delve deep into the world of business, inspiration, and actionable advice. Today, I am thrilled to introduce Bianca Robinson, a woman whose brand and authenticity have captivated me for years. In a world dominated by social media hype and quickmoney schemes, Bianca stands out as a beacon of trust and tangible results. It's an honor to have her here today.

The Journey Begins

Bianca's journey with Kate & Kate Consulting began in October 2012, inspired by a profound life change. “My daughter was three months old, and she introduced me to myself,” Bianca reflects. Balancing a demanding career in engineering project management with motherhood was no longer feasible. The late nights and early mornings conflicted with her vision of being the mom she wanted to be. Despite her love for her career, Bianca took a leap of faith, driven by the belief that this was her true calling.

Embracing Change: The Pivot

Starting a business is never straightforward, and Bianca's path was no exception. “What we started doing in 2012 is not what we do now,” she shares. Over the years, her business has evolved, adapting to new opportunities and challenges. One of the most critical lessons she learned was to prioritize profit over passion. “When you start passionbased businesses, others have to be passionate about it too,” Bianca explains. This realization guided her to focus on skills she excelled at, even if they weren't her first love.

From Bookkeeping to FullFledged Consulting

Bianca’s first venture was in bookkeeping—a service every business needs. Despite her disdain for the task, she excelled at it, using it as a foundation to learn essential business skills like upselling, crossselling, and strategic planning. “I learned how to turn a 'no' into a 'yes' and how to create profit plans,” she recalls. This experience set the stage for her future endeavors.

Her journey continued through career development, where she transformed job seekers into viable candidates for highlevel positions. “I was turning fry cooks at McDonald’s into sous chefs at fivestar restaurants,” Bianca says with pride. But as fulfilling as this was, it wasn't sustainable. The financial burden on job seekers made it difficult to charge what her services were worth.

Empowering PartTime Entrepreneurs

Recognizing that fulltime entrepreneurship isn't for everyone, Bianca developed the Employer Program, helping clients leverage their skills to become parttime entrepreneurs. This program allowed them to transition from traditional employment to consulting, eventually quitting their jobs and moving into business consulting and project management.

Achieving the Dream

Through multiple pivots and relentless dedication, Bianca has built a business operation firm that embodies her vision from 12 years ago. “I've become the company that I quit,” she says. This journey, marked by learning and adapting, has culminated in a firm that provides comprehensive business solutions.

Final Thoughts

Bianca’s story resonates deeply with me, especially her emphasis on structured strategies over fluff. Many entrepreneurs get caught up in nonessential details, but Bianca's focus on systematic, resultsdriven approaches is a refreshing reminder of what truly drives success.

In closing, I want to thank Bianca Robinson for sharing her invaluable insights. Her journey from a corporate job to founding a successful business operation firm is a testament to the power of perseverance, adaptability, and strategic thinking. For anyone looking to start or pivot their business, Bianca's story is a beacon of guidance and inspiration.
